How good is ayurveda for treatments and is it based on superstitions?

I have wanted to know how far the scope of Ayurveda is. Most people today, including I, believe that Ayurveda is based on superstition and that as long as people dwell in the past world of fantasies, Ayurveda is likely to continue to work. Am I right to think that?

    Ayurveda is from India and it has not come to the level it should because a lot of ayurveda physicians have been adviced to practice allopathic medicine. Those recognised in the field have forever been under the limelight and they have contributed immense...  more
