I feel pain while swallowing anything. I am worried thinking of weird possibilities.

I have this situation wherein my throat really hurts every time I swallow solid and liquid food. This is so irritating and to the extent that even when I swallow my own saliva it is not without seriously excruciating pain. What is the possibility of a cancer? I am very afraid!

This could be because of multiple mucosal ulcerations of the upper aerodigestive tract or because of chronic tonsillitis / pharyngitis.
