How can breast cancer patient manage stress?

I am 45-year old breast cancer patient. My original diagnosis was in 2000 with a recurrence in 2010, and again in 2013. I have been prescribed medication for anxiety, but am not sure there is a much improvement in stress levels. Please help.

    You have been through a lot in the past several years and have had to make adjustments each time after being diagnosed. Congratulations on your successes and really learning to manage it like a chronic condition. Breast cancer comes with a lot of challenges and you need to be prepared. if you haven't yet considered a support group, it can make things easier for you. However, it is best to work with a professional and seek guidance to manage complications your condition throws at you.

    One of the basic things that you can do when feeling low is exercise to relax. These exercises include breathing, muscle and mind relaxation. For this technique to help, find a quiet location that is free of distractions. Second, you need a comfortable body position (sit or recline on a chair or sofa) and a good state of mind. Try to block out worries and distracting thoughts.
