Kidney is comprised of nephrons which are the basic filters. It has two components, glomerulus which filters poison and tubules which concentrates urine. If tubules are damaged, urine will not be concentrated. So it is possible to pass good amount of urine inspite of advanced kidney failure.

Get registered with transplant centres doing cadaveric transplant. Such as AIIMS. The moment they get a suitable kidney, the person first in waiting list gets it if he is medically fit.
