View All Answers (1)A. Hi Amit, thanks for your query.Tummy fat is not just unattractive to look at but it is also a band of unhealthy lard which is the root cause of an array of ailments. Although this fat is the most difficult to lose, you can follow a few easy tips towards achieving a flat tummy. You must eat a snack that contains protein between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Go for a protein bar, a piece of low-fat cheese, or some almonds with an organic apple. No matter what, do not miss that snack.Eat as close to zero grams of sugar as possible. This will keep insulin levels low and also keep levels of glucagon high. Glucagon, a hormone, is the best friend you could ever have in the struggle for a flat belly! Last but not the least, never starve yourself. Your results will only be temporary and you will feel frustrated sooner, which makes you much more likely to give up. When you starve yourself, your body goes into "starvation mode," and it causes your body to slow down your metabolism and minimize or even reverse weight loss.

View All Answers (1)A. Hi Bhooshan, thanks for your query. If you want to lose body fat then you may have tried several fad diet and weight loss programs. But fad diet and weight loss drinks are not as effective as they are believed to be. Increase your number of meals from three to six. However, the trick is to decrease portion size of your meals. Have small but frequent meals to increase body’s metabolism. Metabolism helps to burn calories and loses weight faster.

Setu Bandh (Bridge Pose) is one of the most effective yoga position when it comes to weight loss. Lie down on your back and bend your knees in such a way that your feet rests on the floor. Now the distance between your feet & buttocks should be the same as your hands. Now, try to lift your body in the upward direction. Try doing this 5-10 times & then release.

December 26, 2016 View All Answers (1)A. Hi Charls, thanks fr your query. In order to get rid of your belly fat you need to consume a diet which is mindful of your calorific value. Remember that it is important to count the amount of calories that your body consumes and burns every day. If you consume more calories than what is required for your body then the left over calories will be stored up in your body in the form of body fat. This is what we call caloric surplus and this is what makes people fat. Therefore, you must make sure that you have a diet which is mindful of its calorific value. Eat more lean meat and more of fresh fruits and vegetables and avoid junk food is the thumb rule.Do more of cardiovascular and aerobic exercises. You should include half an hour of aerobic exercise done four times a week. Start every workout session with proper warm up and then move on to do aerobic exercises right at the start. Remember, crunches and abdominal exercises are the least important ones required for your abdominal muscle. The most important part is to burn the belly fat!
