Can smoking effect teeth?

Does smoking affect the teeth in any way? I have been smoking for the last ten years now, and I am developing yellow stains on my teeth. Is it because of smoking? Is it the tar and nicotine?

    Yes, smoke effect the teeth, it gives stains in teeth and damage gingival mucousa too.
