I have a bad breath. How to get rid of it?

This is a very embarrassing situation. I am 21 and I go to college everyday and meet people and go to parties and places, and amidst all of this I have a bad breath. One cannot imagine how I manage to hide my septic tank of a mouth from people. I have tried a lot of different toothpastes and what not. Please tell me how can I get rid of my bad breath!

This symptom is known as Halitosis and may arise due to recurrent cold leading to postnasal discharge or may manifest due to acid reflux happening chronically leading to Laryngoesophageal reflux (LERD).

In the days of yore, home remedies like rinsing with white wine, anise seed, and myrrh, mouthwash of sage, cinnamon, juniper seeds, root of cypress, and rosemary leaves were used to get rid of bad breath. In additon to these time-tested remedies, there are many thigs that one can do to treat bad breath.

Sometimes figuring out the cause of bad breath is the step for the treatment. Try to be regular on your dental health regimen. Brush thoroughly at least twice a day, and floss daily. Bacteria left on your tongue can contribute to less-than-fresh breath, clean your tongue.

The food choices too have an impact on our breath. Avoid potent foods such as garlic and onions, among other foods, contain sulfur compounds that move on to the lungs after they are absorbed in the bloodstream.
