What can be done diabetic foot complications?

What are diabetic foot complications? What can be done to avoid them.

    The risk for foot sores and infections is quite high in diabetes. You may get minor sores. In severe cases, there could be permanent damage to the foot or even the leg may have to be amputated. If you suspect any changes on the feet, ask your provider for antibiotics or other medicines to put on the sore or infected part of your foot.

    As long as you have diabetes, you will be at risk for foot infections. Look for signs of infection in a cut or blister. It is important for you to take good care of your feet to lessen the risk of infection and complications and loss of your foot or leg. If you lose the ability to feel things on the skin of your feet, report it to your doctor.
