    Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is an inherited kidney disorder which causes fluid-filled cysts to form in the kidneys. The symptoms include pain or tenderness in the abdomen, blood in the urine, frequent urination, urinary tract infection (UTI) and kidney stones. The treatment for PKD is to manage symptoms. Controlling high blood pressure is the most important part of treatment. Treatment options are pain medication, blood pressure medication and antibiotics (to treat UTI).
