Is thyroxine safe during pregnancy?

Hi, I am 5 months pregnant and a thyroid patient. My doctor prescribed me thyroxine, but I am a little worried about it. I wanted to know whether I can take thyroxine during pregnancy? I mean is it safe?

    There is nothing to worry about the effect of thyroxine or your underactive thyroid on your anticipated pregnancy. As long as you are taking the prescribed dosage of thyroxine, then there is no risk to a developing foetus.
